Balswick Pitching

Rich Balswick is a nationally recognized pitching instructor who has produced many top-tier pitchers, helping them achieve college scholarships. As a full-time pitching instructor for the past 17 years, Rich utilizes his acute knowledge of the dynamics of pitching taken from the traits of the best pitchers in the world in order to maximize the skills of his students. Gamespeed has worked with a number of coach Balswick’s students since 2000. The Balswick method of pitching and the horsepower created with Gamespeed training has resulted in some of the areas top hurlers. EJ Sports, LLC was established in 1997 by Suzette Mariel and former Major League player and ex-San Francisco Giant’s player Erik Johnson.  EJ Sports, LLC is dedicated to the continued development of the game’s fundamentals and the mental growth of players. In short, EJ Sports,LLC’s goals are simple but direct:

Some of our graduates are now playing in the Major leagues. Through our partnership we have developed a system of communication that provides the optimum training ground for baseball and softball athletes.  Our one of a kind “Athletic Infielder Class” is an example of our high powered collaboration.

Jaeger sports and Gamespeed started performing clinics in concert for Norcal baseball over teams fifteen years ago. A great synergy between both training philosophies has helped many athletes achieve great pitching success. We have shared no fewer than twenty draft picks over the years.

NorCal Baseball: It is our mission to create an environment for young athletes to achieve their dreams of playing college and professional baseball. We also believe that through the game of baseball we can help build character and determination that will be an asset to our players not only for the game but for life.”NorCal Baseball is a tradition that was established in 1992 with one 15 year old team. That team won the 15&U AAU National Championship and started the run of success on and off the field. Players like Pat Burrell, Jimmy Rollins, Xavier Nady, and Dontrelle Willis anchored those early teams set the tone of success for the present teams. The culmination of our work together has produced some of the nations top prospects. The pitchers developed through our joint programs; Gamespeed’s Pitchers Off Season Conditioning and the Norcal VIP has resulted in many highly drafted and recruited athletes.

Sorcerer Softball Academy is located at 1024 Shary Circle #3 in Concord CA.  We offer private  hitting, pitching, catching and position play lessons in our modern, well-equipped indoor facility.  We are open Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Call 925-367-9012 for lesson appointments.  Many of our instructors have played and coached the game at the highest tiers of competition.  Hundreds of our students have enjoyed success at the club, high school and collegiate levels, with students even having played on national teams. Speed and athleticism have been the cornerstone for Sorcerer softball teams success. In over fifteen years of working together Gamespeed and Sorcerer athletes have risen to the top of college ranks. Gamespeed is proud to be a partner in the development of some of the Sorcerers national caliber and championship team members.

Developing The Next Generation Of Pro Pitching Prospects

The collaborative efforts between Gamespeed and Jeff Pick are long standing and have incredible results. Jeff’s thoughtful and holistic approach to teaching pitching mechanics has produced many college and pro bound athletes. We work closely together to ensure the physical, tactical and psychological development  that needs to take place for a successful, composed athlete on the mound.
