This years class of  “off-season pitchers conditioning athletes  is just awesome”. Shelton, one of the latest pitching coach Jeff Pick -Gamespeed projects is helping to lead his team into the post season for a second consecutive year. Shleton and his GS training mate Matt Ladrech are set to defend their NCS championship of last year. He follows in the footsteps of last years GS- Pick trained James Marvel (Campolindo/now at Duke).  When you put in the work your not only physically tough but mentally tough as well. “Train early, win late!”

May 30 2013, CC Times: The Campolindo High baseball team earned its third consecutive 2-0 win in the postseason — this time trent sheltonover visiting Clayton Valley Charter on Wednesday in the North Coast Section Division II semifinals.

Left-hander Trent Shelton tossed a three-hitter to win a pitchers’ duel with Ryan Snyder, and Brett Stephens hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning.

No. 2 seeded Campolindo (20-6-1) will face No. 1 Casa Grande (27-2) in the championship game at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Santa Rosa Junior College, when the Cougars will vie for a fourth consecutive NCS championship.

The Cougars have won 15 straight games.

“Our pitching and defense has been there all year,” Stephens said.

Stephens’ second home run of the season came with one out and sophomore Adam Remotto on first base after a leadoff single — the Cougars’ second hit off Snyder.

Shelton pitched out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the top of the fifth, setting the stage for Stephens.

“I felt good,” Shelton said. “I felt the stuff is there, and I knew that my defense would be behind me the whole time.”

Snyder, who allowed three hits over 42/3 innings, kept the Cougars scoreless in the bottom of the fourth after two runners reached third base. Campo’s Robbie Tenerowicz was tagged out at home after getting caught in a rundown. Then Scott Singh grounded out to third baseman Josh Ballard to end the threat.
