Alex came to Gamespeed off season training in November to work on improving velocity in both arms. Has a great frame and lots of potential.
Alex Trautner is Gaining Interest Late

A senior pitcher out of San Ramon Valley High School by the name of Alex Trautner has started to attract a small amount of college interest. The ambidextrous pitcher, 6-foot-3 215 pound Trautner, has gained interest from Kansas, Creighton University, Utah Valley, and Hawaii.
“It just feels great, to dedicate my life to something I love and get the return reward,” Alex Trautner said.
Last season, for San Ramon Valley, the rising pitcher came in for 17.2 innings and compiled an era of 1.19 with 16 strike outs, holding opposing batters to a .131 average, surrendering just eight hits which factored into his exceptional 0.73 WHIP. Trautner looks to have an increased role this season on a Wolves team hungry for a North Coast Section Title.
“Because I’ve been through similar situations, especially this past summer, pitching a complete game shutout in the Connie Mack Northern State Championship title game at Chabot College, or the big marquee win at the Gates Field World Series in Salt Lake City against the reigning Connie Mack National Champions, SoCal Renegades, I rely on my relentless training with my teammates and coaches,” Trautner on how he will be able to contribute this season.
Alex Trauner throws identical pitches from both sides of the mound, a two and four seam fastball, curveball, and change-up, all collegiate quality plus pitches. However he has had a slight problem with his left-hand change-up staying a bit too flat, something he says he has corrected during the off-season.

He topped out this summer at 87 mph at the Team USA NTIS in Cary, North Carolina while pitching right-handed and 83 mph with his left-hand.
While Trautner hasn’t received any huge offers, he still deserves attention of scouts. Look for an offer to come his way late.
