When Monte Vista and San Ramon Valley meet its like the Hatfields and the McKoys. One thing these bitter rivals have in common is their most prominent athletes train at the same place Gamespeed.

Gamespeed versus Gamespeed, well kinda.  There were no less than 12 current and former GS athletes on the field between the two teams. The Championship game of the Gordie Classic pitted Monte Vista against San Ramon Valley. MV won 4-3 in a close game. Here’s a recap:

MV scored all their runs in top of 5th with a tie breaking game winning hit  two run home run by Tony D over Livermore field “Mini Green Monster” in left field. The rally was started by a single from Brandon C. Starting Pitcher Cameron Keysor got the win. Reliever Mackay Redd pitched 2.5 inning with 5 strikeouts, four looking. Redd escaped a bases loaded jam in the fifth.

Earlier Ryan D led off the bottom of the first with a home run to right.
