Gamespeed’s Robin Hu Leads Double A in ERA

Chih-Wei Hu (Robin) is having a spectacular season so far. Successful Stints in triple AAA followed by a strong performance in the Futures All Star Game has put him on everybody’s radar. Since 2013 he has been under the management and  oversight of coach Tony Laio and the physical instruction of coach Aaron Thigpen. He is what we call a “fully managed”  athlete where even during the season he communicates with us to keep him in top form, make adjustments and provide feedback. Looking to improve your Game? Off Season Training Means Post Season Accolades & Competition for Tracksters

While most kids sat around in the off season these athletes came in and put in Work! Most started their off season programs in September. The young ladies continued their training even during the season. Track is more than just “getting in shape”.  Our off season programs work on technique, develop the critical small muscle groups and teach fatigue management so that when the season starts you have a strong foundation on which to compete.  Thank you to the athletes and parents who understand and appreciate the value in that. Pleasure working with your and your athletes.

Rays No. 13 prospect hurls seven scoreless frames, leads level in ERA

In 33 1/3 innings for Montgomery this season, Chih-Wei Hu has fanned 34 and walked eight. (Brian McLeod/MiLB.com)

Courtesy Milb.com- Chih-Wei Hu’s lone start at Triple-A this season didn’t go too well, but that hasn’t deterred the Rays’ No. 13 prospect from dominating Double-A competition.

“If anything, I think it might’ve helped him,” Montgomery manager Brady Williams said. “He knew he was going up there only making one start and coming back. He came back and pitched the same way he pitched when he left.”

Hu turned in another sterling outing for the Biscuits on Saturday in their 5-0 shutout of Jacksonville at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. He allowed […]
