Off season training at Gamespeed has proven to be a wise choice for spring athletes this season. Softball , Baseball and Track athletes are responding well to the hard work they put in. Some started as early as September.

 TRACK & FIELD

Harris Miner bound

Aaron,

“Thanks! p.s. his first meet a couple of weeks ago Harris ran an electronic timed 11.47 100 meter, new PR by half a second, off season trainings working”……

Art Miner

Jemaun Charles of Amador Valley ran 22.28 just off his PR of 22.21 in his first race of the season. I think this junior speedster will have a break out season and be one of the fastest sprinters in the NCS this year. He has a lot of potential and is great to work with.

SOFTBALL

johana queen of the mountain 2014

Athlete Of The Week Honors

Johanna Grauer

THE STAT LINE: The UCLA-bound standout was named MVP of the Queen of the Mountain tournament after leading the Dons to the championship for a fourth straight year. She didn’t allow an earned run in four wins, and in the championship game, a 4-2 victory over Rocklin, pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and had three hits.

 BASEBALL

 weston dewitt 2014

Weston Dewitt (Folsom High)

Talk about training by remote control. Weston makes the drive from Elk Grove once a month and does a specialized homework program I devised on his own.  The results have been nothing but impressive thanks to his focus and diligence.  His dad Jeff an ex SDSU track teammate of mine entrusted me with his sons development wrote recently:

“Prior to starting your conditioning program in October Weston’s velocity was 70-75 mph.  Currently he is between 75-82mph.

Really looking forward to seeing what he is capable of throwing after 1 year in your program!”

Reno Zemrak

Reno a sophomore playing for Dougherty Valley used his off season to work on his baseball specific speed. He improved his home to first time  by .60 that’s over half a second from last year. That translates into a lot of base hits.

4.7 – 2013

4.1 – 2014!!!!

AFisherSCU

Austin Fisher

The Santa Clara bound shortstop was suffering from some arm problems. I devised an off season program to strengthen the “arm chain”  (elbow, shoulder, wrist, hand) and the result was an amazing 6 mph improvement. Austin also pitches as relief for the Acalanes Dons and in a recent outing was clocked at 88 mph!. Now that’s what I call  “Wax On Wax Off”.
