Jamaun Charles a junior speedster from Amador Valley High had a break out performance this weekend winning  one of the Bay Area’s premier events at the Stanford Invitational. He clocked a personal best of 10.77 (legal) in his heat and followed up with a 10.85  in the final both good for convincing wins over strong bay area talent. That’s a drop of .15 from his previous best (10.92) just ran a week ago and .30 faster than his last years personal best. Â
We’ve been working on his block starts and race phases this year and he has been a quick study.
Jamaun’s a talent, this I’ve known since he started working at Gamespeed two years ago. Now his competition knows.
He is also the second Gamespeed athlete to win this event. The last was Dash Oliver (Castro Valley) 10.63 in 2009. Dash now competes for the Cal Bears.
