John York threw a one hitter to lead Acalanes over Dublin in 6-0 win. He struck out eight. John has been flying under the radar but has put together an impressive season. He was a constant participant in the off season conditioning workouts we hosted for pitchers and also a member of the Nor Cal VIP program. Proving once again the combination of those two classes leads to good things.
Trent Shelton of Campolindo in an 8-1 win over Dublin pitched six innings, allowed just three hits and had nine strikeouts.
Blaine Jarvis who has been having a great year on the mound helped Las Lomas at the plate in its 5-4 win over Dougherty Valley. Blaine went 2 for 3, one RBI and one walk.

Masina Mayo hit double personal bests en-route to two gold and one silver place finishes in the Sheppard Classic. This 6th grader is running times that would compete with varsity high school athletes. She is the younger sister of GS alum  Justin Mayo  who was a state qualifying sprinter in the 200m back in 2007. Justin went on to play college football and track.  Now his little sis is tearing up the track and seems to have a promising career ahead. She is the 2011 and 2012  AAU national 100/200m champion and last years Junior Olympics 200m runner up. This weekends marks:
Personal Bests:
100m: 12.90 PB
200m: 26.54
400m: 63.39 PB
