Mighty Micah Avery, small in stature, big in heart and competitiveness is proof positive that our Youth Speed Skills class is powerful! In his second year of CYO track he had his first meet last week. His mother told me a great story. Micah was approached by one of his former football teammates and was told before their race: ” Ive planned my day;”
- Eat breakfast,
-
Beat Micah
-
Play video games.
Micah just smiled.
Well when it came race time Micah blew the kids doors off winning the 50m (wasn’t close) and continued his reply winning the 100m, and 200m. Lets just say after the first race the kids reaction was well “emotional”. Micah had put it on him all day and didn’t say a word.
Congratulations Micah on your victories, rising to a challenge, and your humility. Exactly what we want to see out of our athletes.
